Our Training Centre is approved with NICEIC Certification, and offers nationally
recognised renewable energy qualifications. The NICEIC qualification allows the
approved installer to be eligible to join the Microgeneration Certification Scheme
approved through NICEIC at a fraction of the cost of other providers. This allows
your customers eligibility to apply for Government Grant Funding and you the ability
to tender for contracts that require an MCS registered Solar Thermal Engineer i.e.
Local authority and housing association contracts. Although specific manufacturer
courses may be beneficial, they may not entitle the person to join a grant scheme.
This is because manufacturer courses tend to be aimed at a single product and are
not generic enough.
The demand for your new renewable energy skills is expected be high in the future.
According to UK Government reports, the UK needs 7 million new solar hot water installations
by 2020. There are currently about 200,000 solar hot water installations in the UK
at present.
