Best value & competitively priced independent training in the UK. ( Manufacturers may charge less but they are product orientated and may not satisfy the requirements of UKAS for Microgeneration certification.)

No hidden extras. (exam fees are included)

Small personal class sizes (maximum of 11 candidates) with time for individual attention.

Renewable Technologies are increasingly complex and constantly developing. We do not just rely upon the information that is required to pass an examination but offer an up to date overview of the whole market.  It is a full time job just keeping up with  the changes.

Some centres run courses in renewable technology in addition to their mainstream courses i.e.  Gas  or General Plumbing.  Very few have the expertise or resources to offer any more than a qualification .  Courses are compressed to the bare minimum, yes you get a qualification, but little time to discuss and understand these fascinating subjects.

The  industry is rapidly moving toward  the Micro-generation Certification Scheme. This is  to ensure that industry standards are applied to these  new technologies, helping to raise the standards of workmanship and protect the public from rogue companies.  At Renewtech we are actively involved in the development and supervision of the MCS scheme so we can offer practical advice and support if you opt to go through that process.  This will enable you to offer your customers the best possible service and the option of access to some of the many Grants that are becoming available.

NICEIC run various Competent Persons schemes so that you can self certify your work.

Un-vented hot water, heating services and  Part “P, F, G, J, L ” are all notifiable services. That means that as an installer you are required to notify building control, who may then inspect the work and charge you for the privilege.

Where would you rather spend your time training?  Here in Newhaven,  on an Island,  in the middle of the River Ouse,  minutes from the sea you can relax in comfortable leather high back swivel reclining executive chairs (no falling asleep), watch the boats come and go, park in a spacious car park right outside our unit and breathe fresh sea air.  We have a reception and lounge area, well equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee, toilets and showers, vending machines, a cafe offering hot food and only a few hundred metres from the town centre boasting excellent cafes and pubs. Our presentations use smart board technology on a high definition screen and hi-fi surround sound.  Interactive control pads. This is the way training should be. Welcome to the future.

What we don’t do !!!!  Try to impress you with abseiling equipment that you will probably  never use. (If harnesses are required then special training is essential).  Provide large indoor mock roofs to simulate roof installation work. Again they look impressive but roofs are by their nature varied and a specialist trade.  We do give  guidance to roof installations but  recommend using a qualified roofer wherever possible.
