Kimbrer Computer changes name to Renewtech
Kimbrer Computer, with headquarters in Aars, Denmark, changes name to Renewtech after the acquisition of the Dutch company with the same name. The main goal is become Europe’s best supplier of refurbished IT.
It was an obvious match when Kimbrer Computer from Denmark acquired Dutch Renewtech in 2023, and after a short run-in period, the new major player in the European refurbished IT market is now ready to accelerate its growth.
The first step is to change the name Kimbrer Computer to Renewtech, so that the company appears with the same name and visual identity in Denmark, the Netherlands and the more than 80 countries where Renewtech serves customers.
"On the one hand, everything is new, and our acquisition of Renewtech marks a new era. On the other hand, everything remains the same, meaning that we have the same values and the same employees as before, and we deliver the same high level of service," says CEO of Renewtech Bjarne Aarup.

The acquisition of Renewtech also marks the beginning of Kimbrer Computer's journey to become Europe's leading one-stop-shop in the circular IT sector—a strategy initiated by the investment fund Trill Impact, which acquired Kimbrer Computer last year with the goal of consolidating the European market for circular IT.
"Circular IT is inherently impactful by significantly reducing the CO2 footprint on a very heavy CO2-producing product group. We believe that this market is fundamentally attractive with very strong fundamental growth drivers supported by sustainability- and regulatory trends. This aligns perfectly with Trill Impact’s focus on sustainable and impactful investment," explains Nina Hoffmann von Holten, Investment Director at Trill Impact Advisory in Denmark, focusing on Impact Private Equity..
New website, new visual identity and more services and products
With the acquisition of the Dutch company specializing in network solutions, the "new" Renewtech shifts gears in its journey to become Europe's best supplier of refurbished IT.
"We have had a very sharp profile in Kimbrer Computer, and so has Renewtech, which has really skilled employees and a service and product portfolio that fits perfectly with our ambition to become our customers' preferred one-stop-shop when it comes to IT infrastructure," says Bjarne Aarup.
Going forward, you'll be greeted by a new visual identity when you visit Renewtech's website, but while the facade looks different, the core is the same - it's just stronger.
“We are - and will continue to be - the preferred choice for companies when it comes to sustainable IT investments. We will continue to be a key player in the fight to reduce the carbon footprint of the IT industry. In our new setup, we have even more services, products, and specialist competencies that all support the circular mindset"

The circular mindset is the cornerstone of Renewtech, and sustainability plays a major role in the company's strategy and direction going forward.
“It marks the beginning of our journey to consolidate the European market as a leading circular IT company. The essence of Renewtech lies in its commitment to sustainability. Every decision we make and every solution we develop is aimed at making a positive impact on the environment.", says Roger Van Norden, founder of Dutch Renewtech.
